Who am I?

Hello, welcome, and thanks for visiting.

I’m Hillary Sobel, a social advocate who uses her notoriously big mouth (I used to be called, “Mighty Mouth” as a child) to speak out about people and issues that matter. I write about issues of the day affecting all of us: women’s rights, -isms and -phobias and anti-harassment, justice, politics and politicians. You get the idea. And oh yeah, I spent 3 decades practicing law. My Mighty Mouth served me well.

Why subscribe?

The free subscription gives you Monday Musings, my thoughts on whatever sparks interest about the news, women’s rights, words, whatever. And you’ll also get a more light-hearted, Weekend Whispers, my thoughts at week’s end.

For $5/month, a paid subscription gives you full access to more ideas, more (hopefully thought-provoking) thoughts from me. Monday Musings, Weekend Whispers, Wednesday’s Words, tHERSday thoughts, conversations and community. Five dollars a month is a cup of coffee 3 times a month; if you’re like me and drink 2 cups of coffee a day (1 a double espresso), subscribing is a good deal. With 2 days’ worth of coffee, you’ll have paid for a month of my insights, musings, and provocative discussions. Is it worth 3 cups of coffee per month? I think so. (If you’re a tea drinker, I’m not sure of the conversation rate. My local tea shop charges about $16-18 for a pot of tea with 2 additional refills — so … you do the math.)
